Your Website Can Also Be a Direct Channel for Presenting Your Property
Booking platforms provide visibility and serve an important purpose. Your own website offers something different: control over how the property is presented, which information is prioritized and how the digital experience is built around your brand.
External platforms and your own website are not competing ideas
For many travelers, the first encounter with a property happens through a booking platform. These channels help people discover options, compare them and make decisions.
Having your own website does not mean abandoning those platforms.
It serves a different purpose.
When someone arrives directly on the property's website, the business can decide which story to tell, which spaces to highlight, how information is organized and what the visitor should be able to do next.
Your direct channel gives you a place to build your own experience.
A 3D experience can become part of the website
A Matterport digital twin does not have to exist as an isolated "View Tour" link that sends visitors away from the surrounding story.
It can become part of the site's information architecture.
A room page can combine photography and features with the ability to explore the space. An events section can include a 3D experience of a function room. A property with several areas can use the tour to help visitors understand how they connect.
Tags and links can provide additional context inside the experience while the website organizes the broader customer journey.
The 3D experience does not replace the website. It enriches it.
One capture can serve different purposes
One particularly interesting Matterport capability is the ability to create different Views of the same Space, depending on the plan and features available.
A public-facing View might emphasize the areas and information relevant to a future guest. The same digital twin could potentially organize different information for an internal use case.
This introduces an important idea: digitizing a property does not necessarily mean creating one identical experience for every audience.
Information and presentation can be organized around purpose.
Your website also controls what happens next
After exploring a room, someone may want to check availability. After walking through an event space, they may need to request information. After exploring the property, they may have a specific question.
The website can create those paths.
The 3D experience can use appropriate links to lead toward additional information or actions, while the website manages navigation, forms, contact options and the broader commercial journey.
There is no need to attribute website functions to Matterport or make the website reproduce what the digital twin already does well.
Each layer has a job.
What if the website needs something more?
For some projects, properly embedding and connecting the existing 3D experience is enough.
Others may require a new website, custom platform or software integration with other systems.
That is where the scope changes.
Virtual Space produces and configures the 3D experience, interactive points, content and links. When a project requires custom software development, that layer can be developed separately by Servitec GyG, the software development division.
This distinction allows us to build broader solutions without confusing the role of each service.
A direct channel gives you space to tell the story better
A website does not guarantee bookings, and neither does a 3D experience.
Their value is more fundamental: they give the property control over how spaces are presented, what information is provided and how exploration connects to the next step.
External platforms can continue performing an important discovery and distribution role.
The property's own channel can deepen the experience.
If your property already has a website, we can evaluate how a 3D experience can become a coherent part of its digital journey.
